this is one of my favs. i just got baptized on June 6th and this quote has helped me a lot…Alma 26:12

I was baptized on February 15th, 2010. I am pretty new to the church but my favorite verse is Heleman 5:12
“And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of Christ, the son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall be upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to gulf of misery and the endless pool of woe, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.”

I love this verse. It is one of our scripture mastery in seminary. =)

I’ve just started reading the Book of Mormon a little over a month ago. I am to be baptized in two weeks.

My favorite, so far, is a pretty simple one. I just love the way it is written. It is a dying Lehi speaking to his sons.

2 Nephi 1:14-15: ” Awake! and arise from the dust, and hear the words of a trembling parent, whose limbs ye must soon lay down in the cold and silent grave, from whence no traveler can return; a few more days and I go the way of all the earth. (15) But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love.”

A favorite is Moroni 7:46-47: “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail–But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.”
